In the same match, his absence from the field extended for nearly two months, and after his return from injury, he underwent ankle surgery in January 2020 and was out of action for eight weeks.


In the 2020-2021 season, he scored a goal from a free kick against Brighton & Hove Albion, and helped his club reach the quarter-finals of the European League competitions.


At the international level, Pogba participated in the 2018 World Cup, which was held in Russia, and scored a goal in the opening match against Australia, but the next day FIFA changed its mind and considered it a self-goal, and Pogba returned to score in the final match against Croatia, thus winning the World Cup title.
